‘I feel as a society we have forgotten the notion of uplifting others – Edward Karanja’
Why did you decide to start Dibanga Catalogue?
The Dibanga Catalogue was created to uplift upcoming entrepreneurs who I feel have been neglected in the over commercialised era we live in today.
I mean, people would rather support a major company than a local business or friend trying to make it: this was my inspiration behind the whole idea. I feel as a society we have forgotten the notion of uplifting others. We are more focused on benefiting ourselves forgetting that, we need each other to succeed.
What is the main aim of Dibanga Catalogue?
With Dibanga Catalogue, my aim is to give a platform to any business that may want to engage with an audience that they may not have had access to in the past. With this, they will be able to raise their profiles, and going forward, this will become benefitial to them in terms of attracting customers and networking with like minded individuals.
Where will Dibanga Catalogue be hosted?
To start with, social media will be my only presence. It is what hot right now. The end goal is to create a website and maybe an app (That’s the long term goal).
How many businesses do you have on Dibanga Catalogue at the moment?
So far, There are 5 businesses on the platform. The benefits of them being on both the Facebook and Instagram page is just an opportunity to reach out to new customers and a wider audience which they might not have been able to achieve on their own.
