FROM A PESCETARIAN TO A VEGETARIAN AND A DAY’S MEAL PLAN :)

May 8, 2014
Hey lovelies :), as some of you might already know, I’m a pescetarian (means I don’t eat meat or chicken but I eat seafood). As a result of this, I tend to eat lots of vegetarian meals anyways. But I’ve decided to go Vegetarian this summer.
If it all goes well, I will be the only vegetarian with curves lol. I say ‘The only vegetarian with curves’ because when you tell people you are a pescetarian or a vegetarian, they straight away ask you if you want to lose weight and totally forget about the healthy part of it. They assume in their heads that a Vegetarian is a size 0 or at least a size 8 person.
I wish these people knew I was a size 8 before I became a pescetarian and I’m a size 10-12 now, once in a while, I sneak into size 8 tops thou😂 :). But I actually feel healthy now than I did when I was a size 8 and my skin is amazing now than it was before.
8 years ago, without taking the health bit into consideration, I decided to become a pescetarian to see how strong I was. Coming from an African home, there is meat everywhere around you, so you have to be really strong for you to decide that you don’t want to eat meat anymore.
It wasn’t really that hard at 1st because my family was very understanding and will also try to carter to me when they cook. It was even easier when I went to university because I had to shop to my needs, so I only bought what I needed.
I didn’t really stop eating meat because I’m an animal lover and I don’t believe that animals should be killed. I mean if you want to eat meat, it’s totally up to you. I just didn’t feel that it added any value to me, but when I stopped eating meat, I definitely saw changes in my health. This is how I view my life in general, if it does add value in my life, I remove it from my life.
Here is a Vegetarian meal plan I had today.

Breakfast

I had a green juice:
I juiced 1/2 cucumber, 2 sticks of celery, green apple and lime.
Lizzy Lozzo meal as a vegetarian

Lunch

I had a green smoothie:
This smoothie was made with 1/2 avocado, a banana, a handful of kale leaves, tea spoon of honey and ice cubes all blended together.

Dinner

I had Vermicelli and Black Eye Beans.
Vermicelli was inspired by a blogger call Nina’s Cookery, but the recipe was customised to a Vegetarian recipe. I love black eye beans, is a great substitute for meat or sea food.

I will do a blog post of the recipes later on in the week.
